Join Up

Apply now for the 2023/24 Season

If you would like to join our club, please make contact and arrange a visit if you would like to see our facilities first.  The online application form to join up is found at the top and bottom of this page.

We welcome new members whether you are a complete beginner or an established player. Squash and racketball is a great way to keep fit, so why not come along and see if you might like to join us.

How much does it cost to join?

There is an annual membership fee which is currently only the equivalent of £16 per month for a single adult membership and only £5.00 per month for juniors* (under 18).

There are 4 joining points in the year, 2 when the join up fee reduces on a pro-rata basis and 1 where we add additional months.  You can join at any time, however the rate will be as shown below according to the date that has passed.

Examples - If you join up on Jan 5th you will receive a 25% reduced rate.  If you join on March 20th, you will receive a 50% reduced rate. If you join on June 10th you would pay the full fee for the current season and receive an additional free period up until 1st Sept and then the whole year until the following Sept. Group discounts are only available at the full annual rate. Multi same household join-ups after Dec 1st will be charged at the individual pro-rata rate.

We have concessionary adult rates for under 25's, over 60's and full time students under 25.  We also have reduced group rates for members living at the same address.  There is no specific gym membership, just a standard membership which permits the use of all the facilities - gym included.  Membership fees are paid as a single advanced payment, the amount dependent on when you join in the year.  If you have difficulty with this, please contact us to see how we can assist you.

There is a small fee for court lights shared between the two players (£2.50 - £4.00 depending on day and time) Therefore per player fees are only £1.25 (off peak) and £2.00 per player (peak) per 40 minute session. This fee is deducted automatically when you book a court using the on site or online booking system. It works simply by using the credit from both players accounts to share the cost of the court. Your account is topped up using a Paypal account or debit card. No additional fees for the gym.

We believe our system is fair in that the more you play the more you will pay unlike most leisure clubs where the less you attend the more expensive each visit becomes.  The membership subscription needs to be committed to annually as we are a members club, however please let us know if you any financial difficulties and we will try to help.  Payment is by bank transfer only.

Non members cannot book courts for pay and play. Members can bring guests to play with certain restrictions. Guests are not permitted in the gym.

How do I book courts?

We have an easy to use online booking system to use at home or you can book at the club. Courts become available for booking one week in advance. You can also book courts whilst at the club on the booking consul.

What opportunities are there for meeting and playing new people?

The club has a periodic club night and internal leagues so you can play people at your level. We also run a series of competitions and social events where you can make contact with other members to arrange games. We also now have a new member mentor system which helps you meet new similar standard players.

Once you have submitted your application and payment it takes a few days to set up your account and get your electronic key out to you by post and then you are good to go.
